This newly revealed version of the Dunk Low sees spiderweb graphics covering the grey toe-box and mid-panel, strongly alluding to its connection to the web-slinger. A stark black leather upper and midsole suggests a link to the Black Suit, the most notorious of Peter Parker’s costume overhauls in history. Dark Grey appears on the Swoosh logo and the outsole to complete the look.

To be completely clear, these Dunks are not a collaboration with the Marvel character, but it’s hard to ignore that Nike is letting the public make that association. Had the Swoosh been colored with white, the tie-up to the symbiote suit would be very obvious.

In fact, not only did Nike not go with the white Swoosh, but they chose to give it a reflective finish. Hit it with flash, and the logo lights up white like actual Black Spider-Man suit.
